• Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) 2023, the benchmark event for the new economy, returns to DFactory Barcelona, the largest Industry 4.0 ecosystem in Southern Europe, which is managed by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona.
  • Registration to participate in the fourth edition of BNEW is already active on the event's website. It will give access to the platform from where the content of the sets will be streamed and the participants will be able to connect with relevant partners.

Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) 2023, the event organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) that will take place from October 2nd to 5th, adds two new verticals: Proptech and Health. More specifically, the first will focus on the most technological and digital part of Real Estate and the second will focus its contents on one fundamental aspect, both in the day-to-day and in the workplace, which is the health and well-being of people.

The fourth edition of BNEW will feature three sets and seven critical sectors for the new economy - two per set - some of which have already been represented since the event's inception in 2020. Specifically, the seven topics for 2023 will be: Proptech, Health, Digital Industry, Talent, Sustainability, Mobility and Experience. This format makes it possible to reach professionals from different economic sectors, industries, small and medium-sized enterprises, large corporations, administrations and institutions, and startups at the same time.

Following the success of the last edition, BNEW 2023 will be held once again at DFactory Barcelona, a unique building in the city of Barcelona with open, diaphanous, digital spaces committed to the 2030 Agenda. A disruptive and innovative event that iscommitted to the possibilities, new forms and change of economic paradigm offered by new technologies. All of this in Barcelona, Europe's leading city for the new economy, which is firmly committed to this new way of doing things and which has a large 4.0 business ecosystem.

As Pere Navarro, the special delegate of the State in the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), said, "the implementation of technology and digitalization in each of the economic sectors brings with it many changes that both companies and employees must assume positively and see in them as a step towards efficiency and the improvement of their working conditions, as well as an opportunity to be part of the new economy. BNEW is an evidence of this, and a clear example is the evolution of the Real Estate sector into Proptech, with technologies applied to one of the key sectors of the world economy".

Once again, BNEW 2023 will continue to focus on internationalization as a key element, as well as generating business through networking on the event's powerful digital platform and using artificial intelligence.

Free registration

It is expected to bring together nearly 350 speakers of first national and international level, giving rise to 140 hours of content distributed in 100 panels, debates and sessions. The event will maintain its hybrid format to facilitate the attendance of people from anywhere in the world, who can register for free.

As in previous editions, BNEW has a cutting-edge digital platform from which participants from any country can follow live or deferred content that will take place on the sets located at the DFactory Barcelona. The only topic that will only be developed in situ will be the BNEW Experience, which seeks to let attendees know about the leisure, cultural and gastronomic offers of the city of Barcelona.

"Registration to participate in BNEW 2023 is now open on the website. Both companies and attendees will have access to the digital platform, once registered. It will allow them to follow the content live, as well as connect with the partners they are interested in, selecting them from among all the participating companies and the more than 12,000 virtual attendees we are expecting for this new edition" said the general manager of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué.
