Agreement between the two associations linked to Facility Management. The Catalan Facility Management Association (ACFM) has signed an agreement with IFMA Spain, spanish chapter of the International Facility Management Association . The Catalan Association of Facility Management (ACFM) , an entity created in 2015, is made up of more than 80 members between professionals and companies and whose mission is that the profession and the world that surrounds Facility Management be recognized , in Catalonia, by the market and the institutions for what it really is: a strategic activity in the life cycle of any built space, be it tertiary or industrial buildings.

The framework agreement has been signed by Manuel Járrega Domínguez, President of the ACFM and Enrique Carrero Álvaro, President of IFMA Spain and, although their collaboration has been very close since the beginning, they have wanted to materialize more officially. The agreement contemplates carrying out joint actions for the benefit of both organizations, through the development of specific activities. Also fostering relationships to maintain a constant exchange of information on resources, training programs and research and development projects in the areas of each entity.

The agreement has already materialized in a first collaboration, since on the occasion of the Corporate Real Estate Asset Management Summit CREAM 2023, which IFMA Spain held in Barcelona, the president of the ACFM, Manuel Járrega, moderated a panel entitled "The deindexation and productivity of Space. Public Sector vs. Private Sector", where Emilio G. Perulles, General Director of International of Grupo Eulen and Lluis Dalmau, head of the Implementation Area of property management and support services in the Generalitat of Catalonia participated.

For Manuel Járrega, president of the ACFM, “Our association aims to give visibility to the Facility Management profession, since the professionals and companies that work in this field are really strategic for organizations and their management of built spaces. That is why it is strategic for us to collaborate with other entities that help us in this objective. In particular, the collaboration with IFMA is key for us since our objectives are totally aligned. That is why we wanted so much to take this step that we have taken. Together we have more strength and we will be able to put the discipline of Facility Management in the social position it deserves for its value and its daily work

For Enrique Carrero, president of IFMA Spain, “we really wanted to close this agreement with an entity with which we have been working together for years ”. For Carrero, "the good experience and success of the recent CREAM 2023 held in Barcelona, attended by many members of the ACFM, is an example that this collaboration will allow an exponential leap in knowledge of Facility Management</ em>”.
