Barcelona, February 10, 2021 - Advanced Factories moves from June 8th to June 10th the celebration of its fifth edition. After holding meetings with the main firms that participate year after year in the event, as well as with the main business associations of the sector (such as AER -Spanish Association of Robotics and Automation), the organization has decided to delay its celebration for six weeks.
Once the phase of linking partner firms and exhibitors to Advanced Factories has finished, the organization has focused its efforts on the call for professionals from the industrial sector who attend this event every year looking for a technological partner in robotics and industrial automation. However, the success that this event has reaped each year has also come from the wide call of professionals from the Spanish industrial manufacturing sector. "Even with the hopeful news of the advance of vaccination and knowing that the wave of winter infections is already beginning to break down, the organization, leading firms and business associations have unanimously agreed to move Advanced Factories to June to guarantee the attendance of more professionals from all over the country", says Albert Planas, CEO of the event.
The innovations from 280 exhibiting firms and the Industry 4.0 Congress, a must-see
Among the 280 firms participating in this edition, stand out the innovations and new solutionspresented by Omron, Bosch-Rexroth, Schneider-Electric, Accenture, Beckhoff, HP, Infaimon, Kuka, Siemens, Weidmuller, Fanuc, T-Systems, Tecnalia, Yaskawa, Logitec, Festo, Universal Robots, Rockwell Automation, Phoenix Contact, Wonderware, Schaeffler or Eurecat.
Besides, more than 260 experts will share their success stories on the transformation of the industry to demonstrate how the future of the sector and the improvement of the competitiveness of industrial plants go through automation, robotics and the massive use of 4.0 technologies. Thus, the Industry 4.0 Congress will offer more than 100 hours of technology and knowledge transfer through four thematic axes -automatization, connectivity, data analytics,and industrial symbiosis-and an agenda designed for each segment of the industry with aeronautics and naval, health & pharma, food, electronics, automotive, textile, rail and metalforums.

The organization, which already has organizedtwo other events since the pandemic arrived, has worked on a wide protocol of safety and hygiene measures that goesbeyond those recommended by the health authorities, the ICTE (Spanish Institute for Tourist Quality) or the UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry). These include taking the temperature at entrances, the obligation to wear a mask during the entire stay in the venue, the control of constant capacity and supervision of maintaining a safe distance by attendees, the distribution of spaces in commonsareas and auditoriums with the minimum safety distance, the recommendation to use the Covid Radar App and the use of contactless technology in accesses, the interaction between visitors and exhibitors or consultation of the congress program.
