• The Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) 2022, the reference event for the new economy, will be held in the most unique, technological and disruptive building in Europe promoted and managed by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona.
  • The event, October 3rd to 6th, will feature seven interconnected verticals under the umbrella of the new economy: Real Estate, Digital Industry, Sustainability, Mobility, Talent, Invest and Experience.

The BNEW (Barcelona New Economy Week), organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), will hold its third edition at DFactory Barcelona from 3rd to October 6th. The most unique, technological and disruptive building in Europe, promoted by the CZFB, will be the headquarters of the sets in which the different verticals of the event will be addressed, all of them under the umbrella of the new economy: Real Estate, Digital Industry, Mobility , Talent, Invest and Experience. Added to the themes of other editions is Invest, whose objective is to discuss the future of investment in Europe, Latin America, the United States, Africa and the Middle East, and address the risks and opportunities offered by the post-pandemic economy for both large companies as well as SMEs.

Hybrid and televised format

The meeting will bring together 600 top-level national and international speakers, giving rise to 180 hours of content distributed in 130 panels, debates and sessions. The event will maintain its hybrid format to facilitate the attendance of people from anywhere in the world and will increase its face-to-face capacity due to the improvement in health circumstances. In this sense, BNEW has a state-of-the-art digital platform from which participants from any country will be able to follow live or recorded the content that will take place on the sets located in the DFactory Barcelona. The only vertical that will only take place in person will be the BNEW Experience, a new name for the City theme of the first two editions, which seeks to introduce those attending the event to the leisure, cultural and gastronomic offer of the city of Barcelona.

Pere Navarro, Spanish State's Special Delegate in the CZFB, highlights that “there is no better place to celebrate BNEW, which has established itself as the reference event of the new economy, than in a pioneering space in terms of industry 4.0 such as it is DFactory Barcelona. We are proud to contribute to promoting the image of Barcelona at an international level as a privileged enclave for the development of a more digital and sustainable economy”.

For her part, Blanca Sorigué, General Director of the CZFB, explained that “in this new edition we hope to have 400 participating companies and more than 12,000 attendees”. She, at the same time, has also recalled that " in 2021 an internationality of 47% was reached with participants belonging to 145 different countries, among which they predominated, beyond Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, and Argentina ”.

As signed in the collaboration agreement , the ACFM will promote, among its associates, the participation in the event in addition to contributing with speakers in some round tables. Our associates will have access advantages to the event.
