On March 30th, the collaboration agreement was signed between Construmat and the Catalan Association of Facility Management (ACFM).

Present at the signing were Roger Bou, Director of the Construmat Expo, Manuel Járrega, President of the Catalan Association of Facility Management (ACFM) and Felip Neri Gordi, Director of the course Postgraduate in Facility Management from the Escola Sert-COAC of the Col·legi d'Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC). The scope of this agreement is not only limited to the dissemination of content between both entities (press releases, social networks...), monthly meetings have also been set in order to contribute, by the ACFM, in the development of the Construmat Expo, including the vision of the life cycle of buildings and the entire associated market.

For the Catalan Association of Facility Management (ACFM) it is very gratifying to return to Contrumat after all these years. Construmat is the benchmark trade fair for the world of construction where construction professionals can discover the latest materials, techniques, services and systems for low-emission construction, as well as solutions for digitization and the industrialization of construction processes that are already being applied successfully in the market. But built spaces need to be managed in all their aspects: maintenance, cleaning, gardening, space management,... etc. And it is precisely here where Facility Managers make the difference. to obtain the satisfaction of the users, the optimal exploitation of the built spaces and therefore their value.

In the words of Manuel Járrega, President of the Catalan Association of Facility Management (ACFM), "the participation of the Catalan Association of Facility Management at Construmat '23 is a source of pride because we give support from the Facility Management sector to this reference show in Barcelona. We firmly believe that the construction projects of built spaces (and I say built spaces since in the ACFM we are not restricted to buildings only) must incorporate from the first day the vision of those who operate them, that is, the Facility Manager. Having a show like Construmat allows us to see the latest developments in construction and how it advances towards sustainable and digitized spaces, optimizing and industrializing the construction process in a sector that still has a very interesting journey in these fields".

As Association, we believe that this is a very important step to take Facility Management, as a profession, to the position we believe it deserves to occupy and we thank Construmat for its vision by including us among its strategic partners.
